How this site works

Restumping Help exists to answer one anxious question — "is this crack serious?" — without the sales pressure that usually comes with it.

What we do

We publish plain-English guides to restumping, reblocking and underpinning for Australian homeowners, and we run a directory of licensed firms that do the work. Every guide carries a "last reviewed" date, and cost figures are re-checked against real quotes at least twice a year.

How we make money

When you request quotes or a firm's contact details through this site, the firm pays us a referral fee. That fee is the same regardless of which firm you choose, it never changes the price you're quoted, and firms cannot pay to change what our guides say. If a firm's fee arrangement ever affected a listing, we'd say so on the listing itself.

What we don't do

We don't accept payment for editorial coverage, we don't rank firms by fee, we don't sell your details to marketing lists, and we don't use urgency tactics. If a page ever pressures you to act faster than you're comfortable with, tell us — that's a bug, not a strategy.

Who reviews the guides

Technical content is reviewed by a licensed building practitioner before publication and at each dated review. Where state rules are cited — permits, licensing, certificates — we link to the regulator's own material so you can verify it.
