Privacy policy
The short version: details you submit go to the firms matched to your job so they can contact you about it — and nowhere else.
What we collect
When you request quotes or a firm's contact details, we collect what you type into the form: your name, phone number, email if given, postcode or suburb, and your description of the problem. Alongside it we record routine technical context — the page the form was on, when it was submitted, and standard analytics signals (see below).
What we do with it
Quote and contact-unlock requests are passed to the restumping or underpinning firm(s) matched to your job, so they can contact you about that job. Firms pay us a referral fee for these introductions; that is how the site is funded and it is disclosed across the site. We contractually require listed firms to use your details only for responding to your enquiry.
What we never do
We do not sell your details to marketing lists or data brokers, share them with anyone beyond the matched firms and our service providers, or use them to send you marketing. A contact-form message goes to us alone and is used only to reply to you.
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) to understand which pages help people. It uses no advertising identifiers and builds no cross-site profile of you.
Storage, access and correction
Enquiry data is stored on Australian-hosted or reputable cloud infrastructure and retained only as long as needed to operate the referral service and meet legal obligations. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: contact us and we'll action it promptly.
Complaints
If you believe we've mishandled your information, contact us first and we'll investigate. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
